How I Work
Counselling is about regularly taking time out of our busy day-to-day lives to share and explore our thoughts and emotions in a safe and confidential setting.
My approach is warm, caring, respectful and supportive. In our sessions you are welcome to talk about anything that is on your mind. I will aim to help you feel less alone and to allow you to make sense of any feelings, worries or concerns.
‘Awareness requires living in the here and now, and not in the elsewhere, the past or the future.’

In-Person or Remote Counselling
I provide counselling to adults on a one-to-one basis offering sessions both in person in the Blue Cabin and remotely by video. Our work together could be just a few sessions or you may opt for longer-term therapy.
I see clients weekly for 50 minutes at the same time and day each week at a mutually convenient time. The first trial session is about discovering what you hope to gain from counselling. It will also give you the chance to experience my counselling approach and to consider whether we can work effectively together.
Should you choose to continue, we will work together each week until you find the best point to leave. This may be after a few sessions or you may find that you benefit from longer term work.
I am a qualified online counsellor. Online counselling is increasingly used in therapy. It is convenient and accessible and has been shown to be just as effective as in person counselling. It is particularly useful for clients who wish to work with me but live out of the area or internationally. I prefer to use Zoom but I can also use telephone, FaceTime and WhatsApp video.
All that is required is a quiet, private space to talk. Feel free to arrange an initial session with no obligation to commit to further sessions.
I do not provide online counselling to any person who is under the age of 18.
